Manhattan Cardiovascular Care was created to provide comprehensive care ranging from cardiac disease prevention to intervention. Nutrition and lifestyle choices determine how our body responds. The core of the practice is to emphasize and implement lifestyle modifying parameters in conjunction with the latest technological advancements and treatments available.

About Dr. Gashi

Dr. Eleonora Gashi is the founder of Manhattan Cardiovascular Care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the New York University College of Arts and Sciences. Subsequently she enrolled in a Neuroscience Doctoral Program at City University of New York where she conducted research on Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease as well as cardiovascular disease with an emphasis on the brain-heart interaction. Dr. Gashi continued her medical education at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to completing Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital. She further continued with an additional year of training in Interventional Cardiology Program at Lenox Hill Hospital. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Echocardiography. Currently she serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai West in NYC.

In light of holistic training during the medical school, Dr. Gashi ‘s passion is about raising awareness about heart disease and prevention on a global level. She is working with the Mount Sinai Team to implement the HAPPY Project (Heart Attack Prevention Program for You) to the developing countries in the Balkans. Furthermore, as a cardiologist with a neuroscience background, Dr. Gashi provides a unique perspective from the whole patient approach when evaluating and diagnosing patients. The health of our brain is intertwined with the health of our heart and her understanding of neurocardiology provides a broader outlook into maintenance of our overall wellness. Furthermore, as a strong believer of “ Food as Medicine”, Dr. Gashi emphasizes nutrient-dense diets as means of enhancing our physiological processes while eliminating processed and refined foods.
